From Images to Deep Learning – A Whole-Brain Perspective

This practical workshop aims at sharing ideas of how images and videos that language teachers often use in the classroom can be used to trigger deeper learning. Presenters will start the session by telling a story based on images to expand  on how the brain works, and what it needs to turn information into knowledge. In the second part of the workshop, presenters will demonstrate two activities based on images that optimize whole-brain functioning to inspire the audience to design tasks that follow the same rationale.
